Franconian Geese Breed Standard
The Franconian geese from Bavaria were mostly snow white, more rarely grey and white mottled. The Blue has now been accepted into the German standards(2003).
Strong, medium length head with comparatively large, light blue eyes. Strong bill of medium length, pale orange red with a pink bean. Elongated body carried horizontally; distinctly cylindrical from. In spite of the full appearance of the breast, no keel on the under body. Barely rounded back, rather wide. Tail short and wide, carried horizontally. Medium length wings held tightly to the body. Medium length, strong and orange-red in colour. Stated weight vary from 4-7kg.
