The Royal Norfolk Show 2016
We had another great year attending the Royal Norfolk, even bumping into Prince Charles outside the Poultry tent! Shame he did not get time to come in and meet big George, seeing as he is Patron of the PCGB!
Results were great and was pleased generally. Only took a handful of birds as they were dropping feathers galore due to the heat!
Large Fowl Brahma:
Gold Partridge Hen won - Best Soft Feather Heavy and best in class, best of breed awarded from breed club.
Gold Partridge Cock second or third, will check!
Isabella or Lavender Partridge Cock bird 2nd in non-standard class
Blue Laced Wyandotte Bantam Hen - Second
Blue Laced Wyandotte Bantam Cock - Unplaced
Ayam Cemani Hen - First
Ayam Cemani Cock - Second

Our Royal Norfolk Show Highlights 2015
Below are just a few of the many sights and attractions we enjoyed over two wonderful long days at this years memorable show. As always; it is the lovely folks you meet, that share their love of what they produce that we always enjoy the most. The enthusiasm for bringing their best, and as always the show did not disappoint, certainly one of the hottest shows I have attended with many doing their utmost to keep things super cool, we even saw ferrets taking a shower!!! We met the most beautiful sausage dog puppy called frank (as in frankfurter!). It was a wonderful display put on by the farriers who were certainly feeling the heat!!! Sitting in the shade with a cool lovingly produced apple juice was probably the highlight of the first day as the heat became unbearable. The second day was much easier on the legs, taking in the delights of the garden show and sampling some of the many quality beers on offer. Snacking is always a must at the show with a Nutty Monkey being my personal highlight of day two, a gorgeous crepe with chocolate and banana! For the lovely folks that made time to speak to us about what they produce thanks, you are the folks that make the show happen, always bringing of your best.
